Books and guides about saving money, living frugal, feeling abundant, happy, healthy and wealthy by Marilyn Zelinsky-Syarto

"I chose this image of sand because it was on a beach walk one day when I realized that nature is the very essence of plenty and abundance. Whenever I feel there's not enough, I just look outside and I see more than enough sand, trees, leaves and flowers."

GREAT THINGS BEING SAID...

If you are new to the genre of personal development, self-development, self-improvement (call it what you will) then this is a go-to resource book.

This book has been very, very helpful. Addresses a lot of my issues. I've been wondering how to judge the quality of clothes in the stores. Gives voice to my concerns.

MARILYN'S STORY

Marilyn Zelinsky Syarto Two Frugal Fairfielder Connecticut author

You may wonder why I choose a photo of me sitting in a car! It's not just any car. It's an EV--a Nissan Leaf that I'm test driving here. To me, an EV, especially a pre-owned one that still holds value at a reduced purchase price, is a frugal purchase for a number of reasons that you can read about here and here on the Two Frugal Fairfielders' blog!

Believe it or not, frugal living is a relatively new concept for me. Who actually introduced me to frugality? My husband, Steve! He grew up in a very frugal New England household, unlike myself (who grew up in a household that was always struggling with lack of money). So…how do I define frugality? It is not living cheap or feeling deprived. Frugality is a way of life defined by quality, value and dignified restraint versus the mediocrity of living cheap. This framework guides me while I write every book.

Here's a nifty guide to EVs from
